Jr. Company

Ages 7–11

A performance experience for young dancers ready to grow on and off the stage.

Jr. Company is a 12-week performance program designed for dancers who are ready to take the next step in their training. More than a weekly dance class, each cycle guides students through the complete creative process—from building strong technique, to learning original choreography, to sharing their work in a live performance.

Whether your child dreams of performing professionally or simply loves to dance, Jr. Company offers an encouraging environment where dedication, creativity, and confidence grow together.

A Complete Performance Journey

Each three-month cycle follows a clear progression:

Month One — Technique
Students strengthen their ballet foundation through age-appropriate technical training, musicality, coordination, and performance skills. Every rehearsal builds the tools they'll need for the choreography ahead.

Month Two — Choreography
Dancers begin creating and rehearsing an original work. Along the way, they develop teamwork, stage awareness, artistic expression, and the confidence that comes from working toward a shared goal.

Month Three — Performance
The cycle concludes with a performance that celebrates everything the dancers have accomplished together. Some cycles finish with an intimate studio showcase for family and friends, while others may culminate in performances at community venues, festivals, or special performance opportunities.

No matter the setting, every performance is treated as a meaningful artistic experience—not simply a recital.

Why Jr. Company?

At DMC Dance Co., we believe children grow when they are trusted with meaningful work.

Jr. Company introduces dancers to the rehearsal process in a way that is both challenging and supportive. Students learn responsibility, consistency, collaboration, and perseverance while discovering the joy of bringing a piece of choreography to life.

Every dancer is encouraged to work at their own highest level, and every rehearsal builds toward a shared goal. The friendships formed and confidence gained often become just as meaningful as the performance itself.

How the Program Works

Jr. Company is designed as a complete 12-week experience rather than individual drop-in classes.

Enrollment covers the full three-month cycle so dancers can grow together from the first rehearsal through the final performance. Because choreography builds week by week, regular attendance is an important part of the experience.

Rehearsals are held every Saturday throughout the cycle.

Looking Ahead

Jr. Company also serves as a natural bridge into Studio DMC's Main Company beginning at age 12. Dancers become familiar with the rehearsal process, artistic expectations, and collaborative environment that prepare them for future performance opportunities.

What to Bring

Our Philosophy

Every child enters Jr. Company at a different place in their dance journey, and every child leaves having grown.

We provide the training, guidance, choreography, and opportunity. What each dancer brings to rehearsals—their effort, curiosity, and commitment—shapes their own experience and ultimately the performance they create.

Our goal is not perfection. Our goal is helping young dancers discover what they are capable of through consistent work, thoughtful instruction, and the excitement of sharing their art with others.

Another World
in the DMC Universe

Jr. Company is part of DMC Dance Co., where young dancers build technique, confidence, and performance experience through live productions designed just for them.

Beyond DMC Dance Co. lives Studio DMC, a separate creative project by the same founder. While DMC Dance Co. focuses on dance education and live performance, Studio DMC explores dance through cinematic storytelling, original films, and immersive artistic productions.

Two different worlds. One creative vision.
