Pointe Preparation at DMC

Pointe Preparation Invitation Program

By Admittance | DMC Dance Co

The Pointe Preparation Invitation Program at DMC Dance Co is a highly individualized, assessment-based training experience designed for dancers who are preparing for pointe work with intention, care, and long-term dancer health in mind.

This program is offered by invitation only to ensure that each dancer receives appropriate guidance, pacing, and support based on their unique readiness and development.

Program Philosophy

Pointe work is a milestone that should be approached with education, patience, and respect for the dancer’s body. At DMC Dance Co, pointe preparation is never rushed, competitive, or comparison-based.

Each dancer’s progression is guided by:

  • Physical readiness and strength

  • Alignment and technical foundation

  • Coordination, balance, and control

  • Consistency of training habits

  • Emotional readiness and confidence

The goal is not simply to reach pointe, but to prepare dancers for healthy, sustainable success once they arrive there.

Invitation & Enrollment

Dancers may be invited into the Pointe Preparation Program following an initial assessment review. Submission of an assessment request does not guarantee placement, as each dancer is carefully considered to ensure the program is the right fit at that time.

Progression within the program is based on readiness and consistency, not age, timelines, or external pressure.

A Final Note

The Pointe Preparation Invitation Program is designed to support dancers, not rush them. Every step of training is guided by care, education, and respect for the dancer’s journey.
